In Praise of The Daily Prayers - 'Salaat'

THE FIVE TIMES DAILY PRAYERS
ARE NEXT TO IMAAN (FAITH)
IN IMPORTANCE, AND ARE: -

- A beacon of light in darkness -

- A beam of light radiating splendour -

- A bouquet for the heart -

- A comforter in the grave -

- A cover against the terrible heat of the Doomsday -

- A cover for protection for the intervening period between two prayers -

- A delicious delight for a believer -

- A fence between a believer and the fires of Hell -

- A lustrous halo for the face of a believer -

- A pillar of the faith -

- A reliable intercessor for and on behalf of a believer -

- A wholesome weight in favour of a believer -

- An act of great glory and grandeur -

- An illumination in the grave -

- The basis and the root of faith -

- The beloved of the angels -

- The best means of keeping clear of difficulties -

- The best of personal adornments -

- The cure for the ills and ailments of body and mind -

- The dearly beloved of a believer -

- The delight of the Holy Prophet's eye -

- The greatest of spiritual treasures -

- The highest of spiritual awards -

- The keeper and preserver of Divine Blessings -

- The key to Heaven -

- The means of earning the pleasure of God -

- The means of propitiation before God -

- The means of remission of sins -

- The means to bring comfort during tempests and storms -

- The means to shed sins like dry leaves from a tree -

- The means to ward off divine punishment -

- The most dearly loved of the Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) -

- The most highly valued service before God -

- The most useful outfit for a believer -

- The price of Paradise -

- The regular practice of the Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) -

- The sign of love and devotion for God -

- The spiritual nourishment for the soul of man -

 

 

 

THE DAILY PRAYER 'SALAAT':-

- Affords strength to endure hunger and thirst -

- Assures satisfaction and guarantees Paradise -

- Brightens the home -

- Brings immediate blessings and rewards -

- Brings prosperity -

- Cools down tempers -

- Delivers one from the misfortunes of the world -

- Drives out sloth and stupor -

- Enables one to accomplish and fulfill one's responsibilities -

- Enhances all that is good and wholesome -

- Ensures divine blessings -

- Ensures equality, helps in realisation of the Greatness and Glory of God -

- Freshens and beautifies the face -

- Introduces happiness to the soul and buoyancy to the body -

- Kindles the fear of God -

- Leads one to moral elevation and excellence -

- Makes one active and alert -

- Makes one regular and punctual in his daily life -

- Makes the Satan to take to his heels -

- Promotes piety -

- Purifies the heart from envy, greed and malice -

- Saves one from the tortures of the grave -

- Strengthens the will for pious actions -

- Takes one to the presence of God -

- Teaches good manners -

- Teaches obedience to parents -

 

 

 

THOSE WHO OFFER THEIR DAILY PRAYERS
REGULARLY AND PUNCTUALLY WILL:-

- Be greeted by the angels -

- Cross the bridge to Paradise with ease and grace -

- Cross the bridge to Paradise with the speed of lightning -

- Enter Paradise sooner than martyrs -

- Enjoy the company of their prayers in the awesome solitude of the grave -

- Have nothing to fear on the Day of Judgment -

- Never feel grieved and never come to harm -

- One should, however, never feel proud of the fact of his offering daily Prayers.
