We praise Thee, O Compassionate,

Master of Love and Time and Fate,

Lord of labouring winds and seas,

YAA HAMEED! YAA HAFEEZ!

 

Thou art the Radiance of our ways,

Thou art the Pardon of our days,

Whose name is known from Star to Star,

YAA GANII! YAA GHAFFAAR1I!

 

Thou art the goal for which we long,

Thou art our silence and our song,

YAA WAHAAB! YAA WAHEED!

 

Thou dost transmute from hour to hour

Our mortal weakness into power,

Our bondage into liberty,

YAA KAADIR! YAA QAWII!

 

We are the shadows of Thy Light,

We are the secrets of Thy Might,

The visions of our primal dream,

YAA RAHMAAN! YAA RAHEEM!

 

 

Yaa Hafeez - Oh The Guardian and Preserver of everything in the Universe

Yaa Ganii - The Self-Sufficing

Yaa Ghaffaarii - Oh The Greatest Forgiver

Yaa Wahaab - Oh The Grantor of Bounties without measure

Yaa Waheed - Oh The Single

Yaa Kaadir - Oh The One Who possesses Infinite Power

Yaa Qawii - The Strongest

Yaa Rahmaan - Oh The Most Beneficent

Yaa Raheem - Oh The Most Merciful
